Cookie Policy

Sopu uses few cookies: the ones strictly necessary for the product to function, plus first-party analytics cookies you can turn off at any time. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

What we use

Session cookie	Keeps you signed in after you click your magic link. Without it, you would have to re-authenticate on every page.	Strictly necessary
Invite cookie	Set briefly during invite-based sign-in to tie your invite link to the email address you entered. Expires shortly after sign-in.	Strictly necessary

That is the complete list. Sopu also remembers your light/dark theme choice in your browser’s local storage — that is not a cookie, and it is never sent to our servers.

What we do not use

No third-party analytics cookies. No Google Analytics, no Mixpanel — our analytics are first-party and self-hosted (the row above), not shared with an outside service.
No advertising or marketing cookies.
No cross-site trackers. Nothing on Sopu reports your behaviour to a third party.

The analytics cookies are not strictly necessary, so you can turn them off at any time from Settings → Your data. The session cookies stay — the product cannot keep you signed in without them.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings at any time. Note that blocking Sopu’s session cookie will prevent you from staying signed in — the product cannot function without it.

Changes to this policy

If we ever introduce a new cookie, we will update this page and the date above before doing so. If a future cookie were not strictly necessary, we would ask for your consent first.
